Margin is a writing app with no folders, no tags and no organising ritual. You write; it handles retrieval. Local-first, instant on every device, and yours in plain files.
No filing system
There are no folders to maintain. Notes are found by writing what you remember about them, which is how memory actually works.
Local-first, genuinely
Everything works offline and syncs through a CRDT when a network appears. The server is a convenience, not a dependency.
Plain files underneath
Your notes are Markdown on disk. If Margin disappeared tomorrow you would lose an interface, not your writing.
