Local-first, genuinely
Everything works offline and syncs through a CRDT when a network appears. The server is a convenience, not a dependency.
Plain files underneath
Your notes are Markdown on disk. If Margin disappeared tomorrow you would lose an interface, not your writing.
Fast enough to think in
Cold launch to cursor is under 120ms. An app you have to wait for is an app you stop opening.
